Navistools Capture is a free application that allows a Navisworks Freedom user to open a hyperlinked file or URL from a Navisworks property field.

Capture simplifies this process with just one-click rather than having to view the hyperlink and copy and paste to a browser. It is especially useful for Navistools users to execute database property hyperlinks in a published model from Navisworks Freedom.

 

How do you use it

 

Mouse click Capture.exe to run it as a background process which can be toggled on or off. Process is added to context menu on windows taskbar.

 

 

 

You can access option context menu with right mouse click.

 

 

 

Options

Start

Turns process on. When property link is double clicked in Freedom – opens the link.

 

 

Stop 

Turns process off. Normal Freedom functionality

 

Settings

Name of the interactive Navisworks window (default Autodesk Navisworks Freedom 2013). If you are using capture with other Navisworks Freedom version or with Simulate/Manage then you need to change this to match configuration.
