Navistools DataManager uses database stored linking keys to handle links between the Model and the database. Each database table has its own linking key with a combination of PropertyCategory and DataProperty of Model Item. By default the program uses the PDMS definition where table rows are linked with the name of the Model Item. When working with other formats there may be a need to use some other Property Category and Data Property as a Linking Key.

 

 

To define a new linking key between the Model and the current table, select Model Item (node) that contains the required property and press the Navisworks Linking Keys button.

 

 

 

The current linking definition is displayed in the dialog. To change the linking key, select the new Property Category and Data Property and press OK.
